I have got to Moscow right after putsch of 1991, for the third day. Disorders in the country, a politics and economy did not stop, and on the contrary, kindled my curiosity more and more. Problems with language it was especial not, because from school began studying Russian and was in the beginning of a rate one of four pupils, to its ending has remained the only one. I concerned to those people which grew with feeling of expectation of nuclear war on the part of one of powers, Russia or America, therefore it would be desirable to arrive to Russia to be convinced, whether it is necessary to be afraid.
Moscow - not yet Russia, as well as New York and London do not reflect essence and spirit of the country! In provincial Russia people are more rectilinear and sincere, and the attitude(relation) to foreigners is little bit another, than in capital, where it injected by mercantilism. If it is possible to work in a province, means, it is possible to live in Russia. It while is possible. And it is successful. As well as everywhere it is necessary to work much that something to achieve.
Russia - the country of extreme and beautiful girls! Perhaps, Russian woman - the most pleasant way of acquaintance to this country! The normal foreigner should find to itself the Russian girlfriend! Only the Russian woman can spend six hours of time and fly to loved in Irkutsk, to stay with him on weekends.

At Russian there is no golden mean, can be good or bad only. At that time when in the country there were problems with products and people buy products by cards, I have come to elderly neighbor woman and have brought something from shop. The old russian woman has refused to accept it! Probably, the self-respect or pride has not allowed her to accept the help from hands of the extraneous person.
Only in this country the Russian person with impudence peculiar to him or straightforwardness, can ask in a forehead "How many you receive?", what in England would be equivalent to a question "As frequently you are engaged in sex?" I do not regret that I live in Russia which has presented me of the favourite person, children and... A heap of adventures on my head!
Russia - the mysterious and beautiful country, the country of contrasts and extreme measures! About it, about its people it is possible to speak much but to understand it, in it is necessary to live there!

Dsoto (37 years) - to USA has left 13 years back, at present is a citizen of USA, works in IT-business, lives in New York

It is pleasant to me, that here it is possible to be itself. Anybody does not have an affair up to your nationality if you live in States legally. Make the way everyone upward can - there would be a desire and the certain skills. The American dream - not a myth, simply everyone chooses that is pleasant to him more: to roll on a dirty sofa or to earn on a clean one.
Still pleases absence of a registration, in general the concept, and all foolish checks which are connected to a registration in Russia. Safety - not an empty phrase, and human rights here are really valuable.
But States - not only chocolate and treacle. Here madly expensive apartments in megacities. The unemployed does not give medical services (though, about what it I... :) But you see here there are no unfortunate lonely grandmothers at entrances, there are no homeless ill animals, nobody scoffs at cats and dogs.

There is, alas, a problem of adaptation for adults emigrants, such as Russian woman: it is difficult to find friends to understand new principles of existence... It, faster, age problems though in States, really, it is more difficult to be pulled together to people. That economic crisis which occurs at us now, has hooked also on me. Has hooked because I have risked to leave the stable company in which worked for a long time, for the sake of the fresh and promising young company. I also have got. Such sharks as Compaq and Nortel, have dismissed weight of people - what to speak about the young companies... On this moment in the country officially more than hundred thousand the experts who have stayed without work from the end of the last year. And I - one of these hundred thousand. For this reason I again should come back to New York from San Francisco and to start something to do. I am sure, that all will be good.
For now I sunbathe, I write scripts... They already "have hooked" on Two studios of Hollywood. I do not know, whether something will turn out.. .. But, in any case, it is devilishly interesting.

Pasha aka Czech - 30 years, the programmer, lives in Czechia for 2 years.

Dreams - to work in "Silicone Valley" though now I work as the programmer in the best programmer Czech firm! That expected from departure, I, certainly, have not received, but have received a lot of new and interesting... More shortly, not I regret. Though... It was necessary to offer alive dialogue with old fighting elephants (friends) and to leave the wife. Has gone through... Earning new relatives and friends...

Amalia (37 years) - the translator, lives and works in Seattle 7 years

When Azerbaijan became the sovereign state and there the embassy of USA has opened, the announcement in the newspaper that the lawyer is necessary has appeared. I, borrowed money, have gone on a language course. Taught on rates Rassel. Probably, he has fallen in love at once. Because in one month has proposed. So I have got to Seattle. In three weeks I have asked the husband: "And in general people here have somehow a good time? Even to cinema go?" The matter is that except for kitchen and I of anything for three weeks in America have not seen a bedroom.

And in one week I already baked a pizza for 5 dollars at one o'clock. And then went to be cleaner in another's houses. Has passed 7 years. I have passed examinations and have received the license for the right of work as the translator. At me smart condominium, arranged with east pomp (the period of repair was the period of civil war: Rassel some plastics and simpler wanted, I as east lady, wished carpets, gold, crystal).

Rassel is jealous. Because I am young, beautiful and independent, and my ideal of the woman - Odri Helbern. But those, first heavy years have not passed completely. I go on secular parties and madly I am afraid, that suddenly in me find out that which were almost not knowing language, the girl who came once to polish toilet bowls.
